What is FELIX?
FELIX is a moderated, e-mail based discussion forum that allows FEI members to communicate with and learn from their peers. FELIX stands for Financial Executives List Exchange. A wide range of financial management, risk management, and management accounting topics are covered. This is an excellent reference tool for CFOs and other financial management executives.
Who may subscribe to FELIX?
FELIX is available for CFO's and others who are interested in financial management, risk management, and management accounting topics.
How does FELIX work?
Subscribers simply send a question via e-mail to FELIX at felixpc@financialexecutives.org.
The moderator reviews the question. If the question is vague or objectionable, the moderator will send the question back to the subscriber asking the subscriber to be more specific. Once the question is concise and detailed, the moderator will forward the question to all FELIX subscribers. The subject line of the e-mail will indicate the question's topic, e.g., FELIX PC - Audit Fees. Subscribers may automatically delete the e-mail at this point if the topic is uninteresting or not applicable.
Subscribers with answers may reply back to FELIX at felixpc@financialexecutives.org. The reply should be a plain text e-mail message, without attachments. However, the reply can include a hyperlink.
The moderator compiles all replies received to a particular question into a brief, concise response, and distributes it to the full FELIX list. This means that just ONE e-mail with all responses will be sent.
FELIX subscribers agree to abide by the FELIX Terms and Conditions.
How often will subscribers receive e-mails? New questions will be sent in batches once a week, along with the responses to the previous batch of questions, as compiled by the moderator.
