Building products manufacturer with plants in 20 states, some unionized, some not represented, is considering installation of automated smart time clocks in domestic plants with intention of interfacing to time and attendance package provided by payroll processor. For those similarly situated, what is the experience with Kronos, and are there viable alternatives?

Response:
We have used Kronos for over 15 years. We have older version time and attendance clocks but they still work well for us. We interface with Syteline (an Infor product now) and also with Paychex. We have 4 locations in Michigan and one in South Carolina.
It has been seamless and without problems.
We have looked at the new Kronos product offerings as well as some less expensive alternatives.
Contact me if you wish and I can hook you up with our IT group for more information.
