On December 4, 2009, The Committee on Benefits Finance sent a letter to House and Senate Leadership on the House Ways and Means and Education and Labor Committees as well as the Senate Finance and Health, Education, and Labor Committees urging passage of provisions to provide Pension Funding Relief. This letter, signed by several different professional associations, provides considerable data demonstrating the urgent need for relief. The letter was sent in response to a concerns paper released by the Administration.
