David B. Rickard retired from CVS Caremark Corp., the retail pharmacy chain and provider of health care services and pharmacy benefits management, in December 2009. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of RJR Nabisco Holdings Corp. from March 1997 to August 1999, after serving as executive vice president of International Distillers and Vintners Americas.

In 2004, Rickard was recognized as one of the ”20 Most Influential CFOs” over the previous 20 years by Corporate Finance magazine. He was cited for his role in establishing CVS as the industry leader in sales performance, productivity and earnings growth, and for his part in the successful restructuring of RJR Nabisco in the 1990s.

Even in retirement, Rickard continues to contribute his talents and expertise to the business community. He is a member of the board of Harris Corp., a position held since October 2001, and remains chairman of its Audit Committee and a member of the Finance Committee.
