Strong M&A Activity Expected in 2006, Across Industry Sectors, by KPMG

Senior corporate executives predict that 2006 M&A activity will surpass last year’s record performance and be strong across several industry sectors, according to a survey by KPMG LLP, the audit, tax and advisory firm.  Yet executives also acknowledge that their companies face several hurdles in closing those deals, including unrecorded liabilities at the target company and poor pre- and post-deal planning.
