IASB Webcast On Financial Instruments Discussion Paper

On June 10, 2008, the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) held a webcast in which IASB board member John Smith and IASB Director, Capital Markets Gavin Francis gave a live web presentation on IASB's Discussion Paper: Reducing Complexity in Financial Instruments Reporting. The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) released an Invitation to Comment earlier this year on the same subject, incorporating the IASB's Discussion Paper. The comment deadline to the IASB and FASB on their Discussion Paper (Invitation to Comment) is September 19. An archived version of IASB's June 10 webcast will be available until September 9. The webcast link includes a link to an accompanying powerpoint presentation.
