On Jan. 13, 2009, FEI’s Committee on Taxation (COT) submitted a letter to Congressional leadership outlining ten recommendations to further stimulate the economy, which include the extension of a strengthened Research and Development (R&D) tax credit, a temporary extension of the carryback period for net operating losses to five years, and a temporary change in the treatment of capital losses. In addition, FEI COT submitted a similar letter to the U.S. Treasury Department.
Further details are in FEI COT"s Letter to Congress, and FEI COT's Letter to Treasury.
