IASB Invites Applications for Board Members

The International Accounting Standards Committee Foundation (IASCF), overseer of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), announced on July 13 it is seeking applications for candidates to fill the positions of two full-time IASB board members, and one part-time board member, whose positions expire June 30, 2007. The current part-time member is eligible for reappointment.

Applicants may be from any geographic area, and will be chosen based on meeting the criteria for board members outlined the annex to the IASB’s Constitution. 

As noted in IASB’s announcement, applicants chosen to become members of the IASB will be asked to serve a five-year term, and will be expected to reside in London, where the IASB is located.
