Seventy percent of respondents to a survey conducted in September by Deloitte indicated that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission should approve its proposed International Financial Reporting Standards roadmap or a modified version of it.

The survey, with more than 150 financial executives participating, was conducted to gather data and information on the latest IFRS trends, views and assessment activities as recent statements from the SEC chairman and new chief accountant suggest IFRS returning as a front-burner issue.
