[print version]
On May 13, 2010, FEI’s Committee on Private Company Policy sent a letter to Congressional leaders urging action on several expired tax provisions including the R&D tax credit, AMT, bonus depreciation, providing temporary relief from pension funding requirements, and the estate tax. The committee requested that proposed revenue raisers related to new S Corporation payroll tax be removed from consideration. The committee saw a successful outcome when the pension funding requirements were adopted in June. Likewise, the s corporation payroll tax proposal was removed from consideration as a revenue raiser for the time being.
