FEI Committee on Information and Technology (CFIT) Chair Taylor Hawes Named to IASCF XBRL Advisory Committee

FEI member Taylor Hawes has been named by the International Accounting Standards Committee Foundation (IASCF) - which oversees the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) - to serve as an inaugural member of the IASCF’s XBRL Advisory Committee. Appointees to the IASCF XBRL Advisory Committee and to the separate XBRL Quality Review Team were announced in this Nov. 22, 2007 IASCF press release.
Hawes is controller finance operations for Microsoft Corp., and also serves as chair of Financial Executives International's (FEI) Committee on Finance and Information Technology (CFIT).
“FEI’s Committee for Finance & Information Technology has been active in building awareness and support for adoption of XBRL [eXtensible Business Reporting Language] as a U.S. reporting standard,” said Hawes. “I am excited to participate in the IASCF XBRL Advisory Committee as convergence between IFRS [International Financial Reporting Standards] and U.S. GAAP is becoming a reality.”
