Private Companies Web Portal Launched By FASB

On June 29, 2011 the Financial Accounting Standards Board announced the launch of a 'web portal' in which private company stakeholders can learn how to provide input to the FASB on matters relating to private company standard-setting, and obtain updates on related developments.

FASB Board Member Daryl Buck noted in a press release announcing FASB's Non-Public Entities Web Portal,

"Our launch of the Nonpublic Entities web portal is the latest in the series of changes in staffing, processes, communication, and outreach efforts that the FASB has been making to better serve the private company and not-for-profit sectors. This portal will help those constituents more easily find and stay informed about the FASB’s activities involving those sectors.”
