FEI Comments on the Passing of Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa, IFRS Foundation Chairman

Financial Executives International’s board, members and staff are saddened by the news of the passing of Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa. Padoa-Schioppa has undoubtedly been a major influence on financial executives worldwide and particularly those in the accounting field who looked forward to working with him in his new role as IFRS Foundation chairman. His untimely passing comes at a historic time when great progress toward financial reporting convergence is being realized. We extend our sincere condolences to his family and to the IFRS Foundation as they carry out his legacy.
