We are a large insurance company looking for metrics on the mix of professionals in our finance/accounting function. Specifically, we are looking for some metrics on the number of CPAs in this function as a percentage of revenue, as a percentage of total staff, or some other metric that would be meaningful. To date, we have not been able to find comparable data.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Response:
We are a small health insurance company. Our metrics are as follows:
- Our revenues are $150 million and the entire finance staff is made up of 12 FTE's.
- Five out of the 12 employees are CPA's, including the CFO, Controller, Mgr, Senior and auditor.
- Staff and clerical level employees are not CPAs.
- All employees have a college degree. Four have advanced degrees and two are currently working on their advanced degrees.
These are the only metrics that we measure.
