On February 18, 2009 Financial Executives International’s Committee on Taxation (COT) joined the LIFO Coalition’s comment letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) on the SEC’s proposed Roadmap for the Potential Use of Financial Statements Prepared in Accordance With International Financial Reporting Standards by U.S. Issuers (the “IFRS Roadmap”).
The LIFO Coalition is an ad hoc group of over 120 associations representing hundreds of thousands of separate individuals and companies reflecting a cross-section of industries in which inventories are a central part of business operations.
