[print version]
On Sept. 20, 2010 FEI's Committee on Taxation (COT) sent a letter to House and Senate leadership in response to President Barack Obama’s recent proposals to expand, simplify and make permanent the Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit, as well as his call for temporary expensing of business investments in plant and equipment.
While, in principle, COT strongly supports pro-growth and recovery proposals, the committee expressed significant concerns with the president’s proposals after taking account of the proposed revenue offsets.
