On March 28, 2006, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) posted a Notice that they are "adjusting the implementation schedule for certain rules [PCAOB] adopted in 2005 to promote the ethics and independence of registered public accounting firms." The Notice relates to the ethics and independence rules approved by PCAOB last July that are still awaiting SEC approval. SEC issued a Notice of posting of PCAOB's rule on March 7, indicating it would accept comments on PCAOB's rule by April 3rd.
