FEI Comments on PCAOB's Proposed Standards On Risk Assessment

On Feb. 18, 2009 FEI’s Committee on Corporate Reporting filed a comment letter with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board on the PCAOB’s Proposed Auditing Standards Related to the Auditor’s Assessment of and Response to Risk.

The FEI letter, signed by CCR Chair Arnold Hanish, said, “We believe the proposed standards accomplish the PCAOB’s objective of establishing appropriate foundational principles on which future auditing standards can be based,” and provided some specific suggestions for improvement of the proposed standards.  Read more in the comment letter.
