COSO Releases Two New Thought Papers On ERM

The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO), dedicated to anti-fraud, internal control and risk management guidance and thought papers, released two new thought papers on Jan. 11, 2011. The new thought papers, relating to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), (and their authors) are:

Embracing Enterprise Risk Management: Practical Approaches for Getting Started, developed by Mark Frigo and Richard Anderson of the Center for Strategy, Execution, and Valuation at DePaul University, and

Developing Key Risk Indicators to Strengthen Enterprise Risk Management, developed by the ERM Initiative at North Carolina State University.  Read more in COSO’s press release; the papers are available by free download from COSO’s website, www.coso.org, at the links above.
