FEI Summary

FEI's 2008 Current Financial Reporting Issues Conference was well attended not only by hundreds of financial executives looking to keep current on the latest developments at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commisison, Financial Accounting Standards Board, and International Accounting Standards Board, but also was well attended by the press. This year was the first year that a blogger, Francine McKenna, author of the blog Re:The Auditors, was invited to attend as a member of the press. Pictured here, left to right are Re: The Auditor's Francine McKenna, FEI Director of Technical Policy Analysis Edith Orenstein, and BNA Managing Editor Susan Webster. BNA was among press organizations that had a number of reporters covering the diverse topics at CFRI, and sponsored an FEI conference on International Financial Reporting Standards earlier this year.
